Track details
Dry clay rides almost like concrete: hard, polished, little mechanical grip.
Wet clay is extremely slippery and packs into the knobs - gentle throttle, clean lines.

1.6 miles, a good two and a half kilometres of natural terrain on Falls City Road near London in southeastern Kentucky - Daniel Boone Motocross Park is one of the longer courses in the region. The site covers about 96 acres, sits among trees with shaded stretches, and is described as mostly loose ground with many small jumps and berms in almost every corner. It opens weekends 12:00 to 19:00, with seasonal variation; riding costs 25 dollars, entry and parking are free, an MX helmet is required, and quads are allowed only on designated days. Events here include a Loretta Lynn area qualifier, rounds of a regional race series and hare scrambles. Two and a half kilometres is not a detail, it is a training instruction. Three laps back to back at race pace put more time in the saddle here than four laps on a short course. Plan the session by minutes rather than by lap count, or you will be tired halfway through and spend the rest of it practising mistakes. On the jump faces it gets specific: the bike kicks and bucks instead of leaving cleanly. First on our cause list is rear rebound - it returns too fast and launches the rear off the face; fewer clicks out. One caution: the operator domain quoted in the past no longer exists. Dates run through the phone and social channels.
