Covo - MXE.45

MXE.45 at Covo in the province of Bergamo is a young venue: according to a report by MXReport it goes back to Matteo Pesenti, who started the permit process in 2016, obtained a 30-year operating licence and turned family land into a sports facility; the opening planned for late April 2020 was pushed back by the COVID situation. Of 80,000 square metres in total, roughly 50,000 are in use. The start area sits four metres above the ground and is modelled on Matterley Basin, and there is a smaller secondary track for young riders plus 10 to 12 sprinklers. The directory mxcenter.it lists the operator as Motoclub MXE.45, the homologation as category 2 under UISP, FMI, ASI and CSEN, and opening every day except Monday from 9:00 to 17:00. There is a bar, hot and cold showers, 220 volt outlets and a minicross area; there is no floodlighting. The raised start and the jumps set the tempo: you come out of the gate carrying speed and keep landing on the same stretches, which work themselves out over the course of a day. If the suspension bottoms hard on those landings, top of our cause list is the rear high-speed compression - it is too soft for the hit. Add some to control it.
