The Circuit du Fort de la Voivre sits at Dogneville north of Epinal and is run by the Moto-Club Spinalien, whose president is given as Tony Manrique by the track directory mxcircuit.fr. The track is 1,900 metres long and between 6 and 8 metres wide. Riding is on Wednesdays from 2 pm to 7 pm, Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 7 pm, and Sundays and public holidays from 10 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 7 pm. A day costs 10 euros, an annual pass 90 euros from age 18, 50 euros for 12 to 18 year olds and 30 euros for children under 12. An FFM licence is required. A children's course is listed alongside the MX track; motorcycles, quads, dirt and pit bikes and sidecars are permitted, and there is a riding school on site. 1,900 metres is a long lap, and our record classes the track as technical: a lot of steering work and few sections to coast. If your forearms pump up after a few laps, the cause on our list is almost always your grip - holding the bars too tight. Ride with loose arms from a central attack position, light hands and heavy feet, and the strength lasts more laps.
