Circuit de Menarguens

Menàrguens in the La Noguera comarca has a peculiarity you would not guess from the road: Circuit 55-84 is one of the training addresses of Spain's road-racing elite. MotoGP-class riders train here regularly, world champions among them, as do Moto2, Moto3, Superbike and MotoE riders - almost every week somebody from a world championship is out on this track. The numbers behind it: 1,175 metres long, 10 metres wide, with climbs and descents that test both rider and machine. The operator calls it the widest circuit in Spain. That width is precisely why the professionals come - it allows line work that a narrow track simply does not. A restaurant and bar are part of the site. Hard, dry ground plus elevation means you need front grip in the downhill braking zones, and that is exactly where the front goes vague. Our first cause is too much front pressure - lower it so the carcass works and the contact patch grows.
