The Circuit de Lignieres in the Neuchatel Jura is, according to its operator, the only permanent race circuit in Switzerland - which after the country's 1955 ban on circuit racing is not marketing but a genuine peculiarity of Swiss motorsport history. Jo Siffert, Clay Regazzoni and Graham Hill turned laps on this asphalt, later Marcel Faessler, Sebastien Buemi and Neel Jani. Today Lignieres is primarily a driver-training and event centre: sporting riding still matters, joined by corporate events and dealer training. The layout counts as technical - short radii and little run-off ask for clean line work rather than top speed.
