Track details
Dry sand gets deep and physical - the front wants to knife in; traction comes from throttle and the rear suspension.
Damp sand hooks up and gets faster - more grip, but heavier, blunt braking zones.

Between Brande and Uhre in central Jutland lies a facility that began as a family project: Bjarne Nygaard Pedersen laid the track out on an old meadow in 1972 so his sons could ride. For many years none of it was official - environmental approval only came in 1995, from what was then Ringkjoebing Amt. Today two layouts sit side by side: the big track at 1850 metres for machines over 80cc with gears, and a small one of 650 metres for the smallest geared-less bikes. On Wednesdays and Saturdays 50 to 70 riders and their families meet here to train. 1850 metres of sand is no stroll, and this sand sets you the same task every time: the rear pogos and swims the moment it gets deep. At the very top of our cause list sits a rear rebound that is too fast. Fewer clicks out, the rear comes back more slowly - and the lap stops nudging you a little further back over the bike with every compression hit.
