Bogatyński Klub Motorowy CROSS publishes its prices, which is rare enough: 20 złoty a day, 200 for half a season, 350 for the full one. In return you get 1850 metres in Poland's far south-western corner, between eight and fourteen metres wide, with a thirty-metre start and a gate for 40 machines. The Polish catalogue counts eleven jumps and thirteen corners; it records the ground as a mix of sand, clay and earth, while we still file the track as hardpack. Eight metres at the narrowest point is what shapes your session. On a wide track you can put a missed line down next to the good one - not here. Ride the first laps deliberately tight and learn the corner before you start attacking it from the outside. On a fast circuit the chassis speaks up first: the bike feels vague in the quick sweepers.
