Olszyna Motopark

The most striking thing about the Centrum Sportów Motorowych at Olszyna is the bowl: the track sits in a natural hollow, so spectators can see nearly all of it from a single spot. The circuit measures 1960 metres, at least six metres wide, and the start gate holds 40 riders. For obstacles the Polish catalogue counts three coffin-type jumps, two canyon jumps, a double and six further elements; it records the ground as a sand, clay and grass mix, while we still file hardpack. The operator is Alchemia Adventure Sp. z o.o. at ulica Legnicka 71A; the venue used to trade as Sowia Chata. There is parking, a café, sanitary facilities and a full perimeter fence, plus a motocross school with Czech and German instructors. Riding is possible daily - but only by prior arrangement. Six metres minimum width and jump-building that comes out of competition: work on your approaches here, not on distance. On fast ground the most common complaint is a vague, restless bike in the quick sweepers. Top of our cause list is the sag balance - ride height first, clicks later.
