Wildtracks sits on Chippenham Road at Kennett near Newmarket in Suffolk and is part of a larger outdoor activity park. The operator runs two sand-based motocross circuits: the main track over 1500 metres, whose layout and jumps are changed regularly, and the 700 metre Kennett track for 85cc and below, whose ticket also covers two kids' tracks, an auto oval and a flat beginner track. Riding runs from 10am to 4pm, in groups by ability (Expert, Intermediate, Novice and two junior groups). The operator publishes its prices openly: 30 pounds for the Kennett track, 35 pounds for 50cc/65cc and for 85cc/150cc on the main track, and 48 pounds for Novice, Intermediate and Expert. Full body armour with a hard shell front and back, helmet, goggles, boots and gloves are mandatory, and under-18s must be signed in and supervised by an adult. On site there is a diner, toilets, a jet wash, medics and a spares shop. Sand keeps the place fast and permanently on the move, and with the layout changing you cannot fall back on a memorised line. The bigger factor here is planning, though: places go online on the Monday before the practice weekend and fill quickly - book before you travel rather than just turning up.
