The Ranch MX sits on Yelvertoft Road at Clay Coton in Northamptonshire. Moto Track Guide describes it as a compact circuit built by riders for riders: technical, with table tops and jumps designed with safety in mind, and open to every ability. Riding days are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 15:30; on busy days and at weekends adults and juniors are sent out in separate groups. On site there is food and drink, plenty of parking and a pit area. Track length and fees are not publicly documented; our records hold a loam surface. Compact and technical mostly means little room between the corners, a lot of repositioning, and a line you have to commit to early rather than correct in the berm. If the bike will not hold a tight line and feels lazy on turn-in, top of our cause list is too little rear ride height - raise the rear, or drop the front, to sharpen it up.
