MC Loidesthal in the Weinviertel has existed since 1997 and runs one of the more clearly regulated practice operations in the region: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 19:00, Saturday 09:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 19:00, closed on Sundays and public holidays, and riding stops at the latest one hour before sunset. A single session costs 30 euros, children and juniors up to 15 pay 15; the season pass is 230 euros, or 110 for the same age group. The track is 1650 metres long and carries eleven jumps and tables - densely packed for a lap of that length. Plan the day accordingly: eleven take-offs in 1650 metres leave almost no recovery between run-ups, and tired legs on a lip are why the last hour of practice is usually the most expensive one. Better to stop a session early than a session late. The problem that catches nearly everyone on jump faces: the bike bucks instead of leaving cleanly. First on our cause list is rear rebound that returns too fast - fewer clicks out and the rear stops catapulting you over the lip.
