MX/EX Club Spitzerberg runs three separate tracks near Hundsheim. The motocross track uses a natural hillside with both the climbs and the descents, including jump faces and tables. Two more were added in 2020: an enduro track with logs, concrete edges, stairs, berms and obstacles that all offer a chicken line, plus a children's track for 50 to 85 cc with small jump mounds and a wooded enduro section. Access is strict: the club states that the track is open exclusively to participants with a paid and valid membership - there are no day tickets and no guest riding, and what is offered is an annual and a half-year membership. Riding takes place Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 each day. Our record lists a lap length of 1700 metres on a mixed surface. A natural hillside with climbs and descents mainly raises the traction question uphill: on the climb the rear wheel carries the whole load, and if it spins instead of driving you arrive at the following jump face without momentum. Top of our cause list for that is too much rear tyre pressure, because it shrinks the contact patch. Take pressure out - with a mousse this carries no risk - and the tyre lies flatter on the slope and finds grip.
