The motocross course lies directly east of the Motodrom Halbemond near Norden in East Frisia, on a club-owned site of roughly seven hectares on Nadörster Strasse. The Motodrom itself is one of the largest speedway stadiums anywhere - a 396 metre track, twelve metre wide straights, in use since 1972, home of Bundesliga team MC Norden and the venue of the 1983 speedway world final. The club operates as MCV Halbemond. For motocross the site is open Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 18:00. The length and surface of the cross course are documented nowhere; we file it as sand, which is plausible in this landscape but not confirmed. Speedway and motocross sharing one site is above all a scheduling question for you: on stadium event days the operation is a different one. A quick phone call beforehand saves a wasted drive to the coast. On a fast track the most common problem is a vague, restless feel in the quick corners. Top of our cause list is ride height and sag balance - set race sag correctly first, and only then talk about damping.
