Little is documented about Frangy in the Haute-Savoie - no track length, no altitude, just the essentials: MC Frangy runs an earth track and splits the week cleanly. Saturdays are for the children, Sundays for the adults. Ten euros a day, forty a year, FFM or UFOLEP licence. That split is worth more than it sounds. Turn up on Sunday and you meet a track that was ridden the day before by light machines only - the ground is opened up, but the ruts are not yet blown out. On a place like this the first two hours of Sunday morning are regularly the best of the weekend; roll in during the afternoon and you are effectively riding a different track. What to expect on this surface once the ruts have formed: the front knifes and oversteers. Top of our cause list is a fork that is too soft, rides too deep and folds into the rut - add compression before you start doubting your line.
