At 1173 metres above sea level, Rogneux Wheels Park at Bullet in the canton of Vaud is the highest circuit in this selection, and you notice it in the calendar: in winter the loop becomes an ice track. The site is run by Benoît Thévenaz. Opening is Tuesday 2 to 7 pm, Wednesday 1 to 7 pm, Thursday 2 to 7 pm, Friday 2 to 6 pm and Saturday 1 to 6 pm; Sunday and Monday closed. The MX lap is around 1600 metres and takes about 1:55 on average. Two larger events a year are held here, one of them a charity race. The Swiss track directory describes the ground as hard and stony. If that holds, grip here does not come out of the surface but out of your weight transfer. Turn up with sand technique - sitting well back, throttle held on - and you will push the front in every second corner.
