The St-Pierre-Bois course in Lower Alsace is run by the Moto club de St Pierre Bois; the directory mxcircuit.fr names Eric Herbst and Philippe Siffert as the people in charge of the track. It is 1,250 metres long and 6 metres wide, with the ground described as earth and stones. Riding is on Sundays and public holidays from 9 am to 12 pm and from 1:30 pm to 6 pm; Saturdays are reserved for club members only. A day costs 8 euros and a UFOLEP or FFM licence is required. Motorcycles only are allowed and the MX track is the only course listed - no children's circuit and no quad access are documented. The source says earth and stones, our record has the surface as hardpack. Either way the front wheel gives little back: you only find out at turn-in whether it bites. If the front feels vague on hard ground, too much front tyre pressure is top of our cause list - lower it for a bigger contact patch and the front starts talking to you again.
