The Circuit Moto Cross Norbert Kaiser is on the Rue du Bois at Osenbach in the Haut-Rhin and is run by the Moto-Club Les Crampons d'Osenbach. The MX Circuit track directory gives a length of 1,600 metres at 6 metres wide and describes the ground as earth and stones. Alongside the main course there is a children's track. Important for planning: riding is only on the first Sunday of each month, from 2 pm to 6 pm in winter and from 3 pm to 7 pm in summer. The day rate is 10 euros, and annual membership costs 100 euros in the first year and 40 euros in the second. An FFM licence is required; motorcycles only, no quads and no sidecars. Earth with a stone content dries out quickly and then goes hard; our record lists the track as hardpack, and on firm, stony ground the front wheel gives you little feedback. The harder constraint here, though, is the calendar: one riding day a month, four hours long, and there is no midweek alternative at this venue. So plan the trip firmly around the first Sunday of the month and check with the club beforehand that the date stands - turning up on spec does not work here.
