Ederswiler is a permanent training piste in the canton of Jura, run by Auto-Moto-Club Ederswiler. The rhythm is tight and easy to remember: Tuesdays from 3 to 8 pm, plus the first, third and - where there is one - fifth Saturday of the month from 1.30 to 6 pm. Entry is 30 francs, there is a toilet, and you should not expect much more infrastructure than that. Alongside the training operation the club puts on its own motocross events and training days, in which the 125 juniors have a fixed place. Important for planning: the club itself says to check before you set off whether the piste is open and what condition it is in - individual Saturdays regularly drop out of the calendar. At 668 metres above sea level it also means that in spring and autumn the ground stays damp far longer in the morning than on the flat. One honest note on the surface: our record does not hold it, while Swiss track directories list it as hard. So expect low-grip, worn ground rather than deep ruts - and get that confirmed on the same phone call.
