The enduro trails belong to the Hedelands Motorklub site at Abildgaardsvej 15 in 4000 Roskilde, which also holds a maxi and a micro motocross track and runs motocross, enduro and trial. The club describes the trails itself: they start at the water truck and consist of four loops. The green one is the main trail and the easiest. The orange one branches off it; where an orange arrow carries a skull, a technical climb follows, and each of those has a way around it. The blue loop lies in the middle and has technical obstacles, all of which can be bypassed, so you pick your own level of difficulty. The cross loop starts at the end of the bog and is open only on Saturdays after 14:15 and on Tuesdays, and even then only if the training leader has shown you how it is ridden; it stays shut when the cross track is wet or being groomed. Before training you meet at the clubhouse five minutes ahead; payment runs through MobilePay, and if the hut is unstaffed your licence number belongs in the payment. That makes the character explicitly technical and self-dosed: short climbs, obstacles you can ride around, plenty of work at low revs. Top of our cause list for technical going is an engine that stalls in tight sections, and the strongest cause behind it is a dragging clutch or a flywheel that is too light - a flywheel weight or a properly set up clutch takes the stalling away.
