The Circuit Moto Cross de Rixheim sits at the edge of Rixheim in southern Alsace. On its own site the club states that it was founded in 1981 and looks after recreational riders as well as licensed racers up to national level. The track directory mxcircuit.fr gives 1300 metres of length at 6 metres wide and names earth as the surface; alongside the MX track there is a supercross course and a children's course. Riding is listed for Wednesdays from 2pm to 6pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to noon and from 1.30pm to 6pm. Prices are 5 euros for 50cc, 5 or 10 euros for riders under 12 depending on membership and 10 or 15 euros above that; the supercross course costs 10 euros on top. An FFM or UFOLEP licence is mandatory. A supercross course on a small footprint means many jumps in quick succession and landings that hit harder than on an open MX track. The rear has to swallow that hit without bottoming and throwing you off the next approach. Top of our cause list for that is rear high-speed compression that is too soft - add some, so the shock controls the landing instead of just passing it on to you.
