The Brooks Motocross Club runs the facility on Silver Sage Road in Brooks, southern Alberta. According to Brooks Region Tourism the grounds are used for motocross, enduro and cross-country riding, and the description mentions a main track, a mini track and further terrain. Nobody rides without a pass: through an external registration system the club sells day passes and youth day passes as well as season passes for adults, youth and whole families. RidersWest writes that day passes can be bought at the gate or at A&E Racing and All Season Cycle in Brooks, and lists Brooks as a host of a round of the AMSA Alberta provincial championship. Specific practice times, prices and the track length are not publicly documented. Our record holds a hardpack surface with jumps and fast sections. Firm, dry ground gives the front wheel little feedback: the sidewall barely works, the wheel feels vague, and you find out late whether the front bites - exactly when you need grip to turn in after a fast section. Top of our cause list is too much front tyre pressure: let a little air out of the front tyre before your first lap so the contact patch grows and the front talks to you again.
