Briarcliff MX sits on Briarcliff Road in Nashport in eastern Ohio. For 2026 the operator lists two larger events: a Loretta Lynn's Mid-East Area Qualifier on May 1, 2 and 3, and an AMA ATV National on August 14, 15 and 16, so the venue runs both bike and quad racing. The track directory mxtrackguide lists three motocross courses: a main track of roughly 1.3 miles, a second one of about three quarters of a mile, and a small 50cc and pit bike track. Practice riding is allowed, but only on weekends from 11:00am to 5:00pm and explicitly not every weekend; the gate fee given there is 30 dollars. The obstacles named include jumps, triples, doubles, tabletops and rhythm sections. Our own record has this down as clay ground with a technical character, jumps and off-camber corners. Clay grips well while the moisture is right, but it works itself into deep ruts under load, and that is where holding a line is decided. If the front knifes into a rut and steers further than you asked it to, top of our cause list is a fork set too soft that rides too deep in the stroke and folds into the rut. Add front compression first, before you work on anything else.
