Ironman Raceway sits at 1389 W 200 S near Crawfordsville, Indiana; Racer Productions runs the events, and Wikipedia names the Shaver family as owners with MX Sports as co-operator. Construction broke ground in 2012 and the motocross course opened in 2014, after the site had hosted GNCC rounds since the mid-1990s; the name honours two-time GNCC champion Bob Sloan. The pro track is 1.3 miles long with 16 turns, the amateur track 1.1 miles with 15 turns - both on clay. The venue hosts rounds of the Pro Motocross Championship, the GNCC series and the ATV Motocross National Championship, and in 2025 it staged the Motocross of Nations, the sixth running held in the United States. The surrounding land is flat, but the course uses the cuts along the riverbank and therefore, by the series' own description, offers some of the biggest and steepest jump and hill combinations on the calendar; the uphill jump Godzilla is the best-known example. The deep soil grows rough and heavily rutted as the day goes on, and it is exactly in those ruts that the front wheel wants to fold in. Top of our cause list is a fork that is too soft and rides too low in its travel - add compression so the front stays up and follows the rut instead of knifing into it.
