Spreewaldring Training Center

The Spreewaldring Training Center sits in Brandenburg, around 70 kilometres south of Berlin and about one kilometre north of Waldow, a district of Schoenwald, and is run by Spreewaldring Training Center GmbH. The circuit opened in 2007 next to the existing kart track, is 2.7 kilometres long and 10 metres wide and has ten right-hand and seven left-hand corners. According to Wikipedia it is used above all for safety training and riding courses with motorcycles or cars, plus club meetings of motorsport clubs and free riding. The 800-metre outdoor kart track belongs to the site; a 4-hour race and the Spreewaldcup run there, among others. On the big circuit there has been a club slalom since late 2007, the Built-not-Bought Festival since 2015, and Twins meets Classic for old motorcycles. The circuit has no FIA homologation, so international motorsport events cannot be held there. Ten right-handers and seven left-handers over that short a distance mean constant direction change, and our record lists the track as tight and technical. On a course like this, turn-in decides the lap, not top speed. If the bike will not hold the tight line and runs wide on you at the corner exit, top of our cause list is too little rear ride height, which makes the steering lazy. Raise the rear, or drop the front instead, to sharpen the turn-in.
