Rozkovany

On 7 July 2013 the RMR Club staged round four of the Cassovia Cup at Rozkovany - at short notice, replacing the cancelled Vysny Medzev date, and on a circuit that was new at the time. The Slovak track portal lists it at 1350 metres. It was deliberately built to be varied: two crossings of a stream with marked changes in height, exits that end in jumps, plus a fast and undemanding forest section. Riders rated the motocross part the technically hardest, because of the uphill corners; with several riders out at once, dust became a subject. This is a track that asks for two different riding styles. In the woods rhythm counts, in the uphill corners traction counts - and treating both the same way loses you time exactly where it hurts. In tight technical sections plenty of riders stall. Top of our cause list is the clutch and flywheel: a dragging clutch or too little flywheel mass and the lights go out at low rpm. A flywheel weight or a clean clutch setup ends it.
