Pannonia Ring

The Pannonia-Ring lies at Ostffyasszonyfa in Vas County in western Hungary and opened on 1 August 1996, designed primarily for motorcycles from the start, as Wikipedia records. The lap measures 4.740 km, the track is 11 to 13 metres wide and has 18 corners, 11 of them right-handers and 7 left-handers. The main straight is 700 metres long and superbikes reach up to 260 km/h on it. Since 2014 the circuit runs clockwise only, because kerbs were installed that rule out the opposite direction. The paddock covers roughly 35,000 square metres with 35 garage boxes. The calendar has held the IDM Superbike championship (1997 to 1999 and 2005), the Alpe Adria championship (2011 to 2020 and again since 2023) and the Sidecar World Championship several times since 2015, but day-to-day the place lives on track days and training. For you that means a lot of work in quick succession: the 18 corners follow each other closely, the straight is the only real recovery, and on a track day you ride that in long sessions back to back. That is exactly where forearms shut down after a few laps. Top of our cause list for it is not the suspension but your grip: holding on to the bars pumps the forearms up. Ride the next session deliberately with loose arms and a central attack position, and put the load on the pegs instead of your hands - light hands, heavy feet.
