Motokrosová dráha Krásná Lípa

The Krasna Lipa motocross track lies near Chomutov in the Usti nad Labem region, in the Ore Mountains - not to be confused with the town of the same name further north-east. The MX Shop Cepelak track directory lists it as a paid track with fixed practice windows: Tuesday and Thursday from 14:00 to 18:00, Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00, each by prior phone arrangement on the number given there; the amount of the fee is not stated. The circuit is also used for championship rounds: Motolevel reported on the penultimate round of the Czech junior motocross championship on Saturday 29 September 2018 and described the track as carefully prepared. Our own record holds sand as the surface, a fast character with jumps, a length of around 1900 metres and an altitude of about 586 metres. Sand combined with speed and jumps loads the rear end above all. The ground gets churned out over a training day, the rear wheel digs into the resulting waves and starts pogoing instead of following the surface - especially through the fast sections between the jumps, where you want to leave the throttle open. Top of our cause list for that is rear rebound set too fast for sand. Slow it down, a few clicks less out, so the rear returns under control after each hit instead of building up a rhythm of its own.
