Vresinska strz west of Ostrava is one of the oldest motocross addresses in Moravia-Silesia: a training and racing area was laid out in a former sand pit as early as the 1950s, and the place had its heyday in the 1970s and 1980s, when the Czechoslovak motocross elite met here regularly. Today the site is broader based - alongside motocross it runs autocross, rallycross, quads and buggies, plus trial and truck-trial events, for which the heavily contoured terrain provides ideal sections. That contouring is the point for you too: a ravine in sand is a very different thing from a flat sand track.
