Midland Circuit Lelystad

Midland Circuit in Lelystad is run by the Stichting Midland circuit beheer Lelystad and, according to the operator, sits centrally in Lelystad about two minutes from the A6 motorway. The site is not a single lap but a bundle of asphalt courses: the SuperMotor School, which rents the whole ground for its courses, describes a large oval of 600 metres, a smaller one of 450 metres and, in the infield, a kart track with turnaround corners, slide corners and chicanes; the asphalt there was resurfaced recently. The facility was founded in 1982 by Ieke van de Wal. It is used for car and motorcycle circuit training, drift events, autospeedway, supermoto training and film and television production. Dates run through the individual organisers; the operator does not publish fixed entry or training fees. Short radii and chicanes back to back mean constant turn-in with barely any time to pick the bike up. If it will not settle on the tight line and instead runs past the apex, top of our cause list is too little rear ride height making the steering lazy: raise the rear or drop the front so turn-in sharpens up.
