Maggiora Park

Maggiora Park sits on Via Vignole in Maggiora, province of Novara, and is run by A Sport Group together with Motoclub MMX Maggiora Motocross A.S.D. The current motocross track was created in 2013 on the grounds of the historic Mottaccio del Balmone; the build-out of the park was completed in 2015 and includes a wide network of trails that make up the Maggiora Bike Park. The operator names the MXGP of Italy and the Motocross of Nations among the events held here. For training days the park requires either an FMI licence or a Tessera Sport membership, tickets are sold online through Vivaticket, and the ticket office opens at 07:30. On site there is the Ristorante Balmone, and the operator points to a partner hotel for accommodation. The site gives no lap length or surface; our records hold loamy ground. Our records also hold jumps, fast as well as technical sections and off-camber corners - a lap that asks something of you and one you want to arrive rested for. The decisive point before you set off, though, is not a click on the suspension but the access rule: the licence or Tessera Sport and the online ticket have to be sorted before you leave, or you will finish the drive into the Piedmont hills standing outside the gate instead of riding.
