Fratte di Sassofeltrio

The Fratte di Sassofeltrio motocross track is in the province of Pesaro e Urbino, on Via Campo sportivo. The track directory Tracks by MXCenter names Valconca Motoclub as the operator and lists the venue as a category 2 circuit homologated by UISP and AICS, 1400 metres long, with hard dirt ground. It is open on Thursday and Saturday from 14:00 according to that entry, together with an explicit note to make contact beforehand. Facilities are sparse: 220 volt sockets are available, a bar, showers and floodlighting are not, and neither is a minicross loop. The Marche regional UISP body additionally reports a round of the Trofeo Cross Country dell'Adriatico held here, organised by Auto Moto Club Frattese: the course used the whole motocross track, bypassed the biggest jump mounds and was extended with taped-off additional sections; around 60 riders started across all classes. Hard, dry ground gives the front little feedback - it feels vague, and you only notice how little grip is there once you turn in. Top of our cause list here is too much front tyre pressure: take pressure out on hard ground so the contact patch grows and the front wheel starts talking to you again.
