Faenza - Monte Coralli

Monte Coralli lies in the hills above Faenza on Via Tebano in the province of Ravenna. According to the Mxcenter track directory the local moto club runs it; the circuit is listed as category 1, homologated by FMI and UISP, 1,800 metres long, on hard ground. The directory gives riding times as Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 11 pm - Thursday reserved for 125s - and Saturday from 10 am to 5.30 pm, with the note to make contact beforehand. A bar, cold and hot showers, 220-volt outlets, floodlighting and a minicross loop are on site. In late 2022 the Emilia-Romagna region announced that the venue would be completely rebuilt with national recovery-plan funding and run from the start of 2023, for twenty years, by the company of former MotoGP rider Andrea Dovizioso; it has been called 04 Park - Monte Coralli since then and is being developed into the national off-road technical centre of the FMI, with an office, a classroom and motorcycle storage. Hard ground holds a line but forgives nothing: short, sharp braking bumps build in front of the braking zones and the fork starts to skip instead of working - our record adds a profile of off-camber sections and jumps that asks even more of the front. If the fork goes harsh and deflects over that small chop, top of our cause list is low-speed compression that is too firm: open it a few clicks so the fork can follow the short hits.
