Track details
Dry loam is the ideal case: grippy, forms lines and forgives mistakes.
After rain loam turns heavy and sticky - knobs pack up and the bike feels noticeably heavier.
Crow Hill Motor Sports Park is on King Phillip Trail in Baldwinville, Massachusetts, and is run as its own company. Practice is Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm to 8pm or dusk, with the gate opening at noon, and Saturday from 10am to 4pm with the gate at 9am. Every one of those hours is weather-dependent. Practice costs 50 dollars per person and 60 dollars for a family; the 2026 membership is 1,000 dollars per person and 1,200 dollars for a family and covers the gate fees for the NESC and J-Day events. There is a main track and a mini track where the 65cc bikes run - no pit bikes. An NESC round is scheduled there for July 2026. Our record files the ground as loam with a jump-heavy, technical character. Loam holds a line and cuts deep ruts as soon as the track has been ridden in, and that is where the front gets critical. If the front knifes into a rut and folds, top of our cause list is a fork riding too low - set too soft, it runs out of reserve and drops into the rut. Add a little compression.
