Circuito La Salgada - La Baneza

Circuito La Salgada in La Baneza in the province of Leon is run by MotoClub Banezano, founded in 1954. The track is 1,540 metres long and around eight metres wide on average, with 15 turns, nine of them left-handers and six right-handers, and 17 jumps including three American-style tabletops, triples and linked waves. Watering is done by a sprinkler system. The infrastructure includes asphalt pit boxes with power and water, a control tower with timing, a 48 square metre medical room, a covered pre-start area with 40 metal platforms on the start line, toilets including accessible ones, two wash areas plus a bar and kitchen. Castilla y Leon and Spanish championship races have run here since 1973; 2010 added a round of the MX3 World Championship and the EMX2 European Championship, and 2011 a world championship round for the MX1 and MX2 classes. Training times and fees are not publicly documented. With 17 jumps on a lap this short, hardly a section passes without a face, and that is where it is decided whether you land cleanly or hang crooked in the air. Top of our cause list, when the bike levers you up off the face, is rear rebound set too fast. Slow it down so the rear stops snapping up at the lip.
