Circuito de Albacete

Circuito de Albacete lies on the CCM-332 road outside Albacete in Castilla-La Mancha and opened in 1990 according to Wikipedia. The full layout measures 3.550 km and has 14 corners, eight of them right-handers and six left-handers; two shorter configurations of 2.237 km with eight corners and 1.336 km with six corners are also available. The grandstands hold 7,200 spectators. Its race record goes back a long way: the Superbike World Championship ran here from 1992 to 1999, the Endurance World Championship from 2003 to 2011 and the FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship from 2012 to 2019, alongside rounds of the European Truck Racing Championship. The operator's site keeps a running calendar of championship rounds and trackdays held by private organisers, plus an online booking system, a restaurant and a webcam; prices for individual trackdays are set by those organisers, not by the circuit. We have the track on file as technical and tight, and 14 corners over that distance leave little room to run out: turn in late and you carry the line wide and lose the exit. Top of our cause list when a bike will not hold a tight line is too little rear ride height - it makes the steering lazy. Raise the rear or drop the front and the bike turns in more sharply.
