Oriola MX Parc sits in the Oriola industrial estate of Amposta in the Ebro delta, and its recent history is an administrative one: the 60,000 square metre plot was originally zoned as green space. Only after the town formally registered sporting use could it invest in the site and hand operation to Moto Club Amposta. That is the reason organised racing is possible here at all today. The club makes use of it: Amposta opened the Catalan Interprovincial Motocross League, run across seven classes from MX1 and MX125 two-stroke through to MX Sots18, with 107 registered riders - 19 of them from the Ebre region. The Spanish classic motocross cup has been here too. Delta ground under wind and sun means the surface seals up by midday. Then the front feels vague and stops biting. Top of our cause list is too much front pressure - take some out so the tyre gets more contact patch.
