Les Coves in Alcarràs, west of Lleida, is not a pure motocross address but an off-road site with three offerings: 1.7 kilometres of motocross, 2.4 kilometres of enduro laid out as a long, varied timed section through hilly ground, plus a superenduro track. The MX course uses the natural elevation of the terrain and alternates between fast stretches, slow passages and jumps. The operator has its own machinery for upkeep and an irrigation system - something you notice clearly on a dry July day. Opening runs by prior arrangement, with specific riding days announced on the operator's social channels; a session costs 20 euros. Turn up without calling and you may find a closed gate. It is the fast stretches that will test you. That is exactly where the problem many riders try to solve with damping shows up: the bike goes vague and floats in the long sweepers.
