Circuit d'Iffendic

Moto-Club Iffendic runs the Circuit de la Chambre au Loup at La Lande du Fief in Brittany. According to the club's own account it was founded at the end of 1971, held its first national motocross meeting in 1972 and its first international one in 1973. The club site documents a long Grand Prix record: the 500cc World Championship in 1983, the 250cc World Championship in 1987, the Sidecar World Championship in 1990, the 250cc class again in 1996 and a 500cc Grand Prix in 2000. The layout was shortened in 2007, reworked after the first turn in 2009 and profoundly remodelled in 2021. mxcircuit.fr lists 1745 metres of length at 10 metres wide, gives the ground as earth and clay, notes that quads are accepted and puts the day rate at 10 euros. The regular open days listed there are the third Sunday in January and the third Sunday in February, each from 9am to 5pm; for any other date you are asked to call the club first. An FFM licence is mandatory. The club describes a succession of descents and climbs, into which tables, camels and doubles were built during the rebuild. The profile therefore works against your suspension constantly, and many take-offs come out of a downhill run. If the rear kicks off the jump face and the bike bucks: top of our cause list is rebound returning too fast at the rear and launching it off the face - slow it down, so fewer clicks out.
