Anglesey Circuit

Anglesey Circuit sits at Ty Croes on the west coast of the island of Anglesey in Wales. According to Wikipedia the track opened in 1997 as a fully licensed MSA and ACU racing circuit, on a site the British Army and the RAF gave up in 1992. Four layouts exist: the International GP Circuit at 3.380 kilometres with eleven turns, the Coastal Circuit at 2.494 kilometres with ten turns, the National Circuit at 1.931 kilometres with six turns and the Club Circuit at 1.287 kilometres with four turns. One straight carries the name Tom Pryce Straight, after the Welsh Formula 1 driver. The operator's own interim website describes the track as twelve metres wide, with fast sections, demanding mid-range corners, a hairpin and a corner banked at ten per cent; riding dates and fees are not stated there. Regular fixtures include the Race of Remembrance and the Tom Pryce Memorial Trophy. Our record holds asphalt, a technical character and a length of 3380 metres, which matches the International layout. The hairpin and the banked corner ask for a bike that turns in cleanly and holds a tight line instead of running wide on the exit. Top of our cause list is: too little rear ride height makes the steering lazy - raise the rear (or drop the front) to sharpen turn-in.
