AMC Frankenthal

The AMC Frankenthal e.V. track is on the Alte B9 in 67227 Frankenthal and belongs to the Automobil- und Motorradclub Frankenthal, a member of both ADAC and DMSB. According to the track directory mx-info.de the main track is 1500 metres long, has hard to mixed ground and a permanent starting installation with lights and a gate; motocross, enduro and sidecar machines are allowed, quads are not. There is also a separate 300 metre children's track on sand and mixed ground, approved for PW 50, SX 50 and SX 65. The directory lists training hours as Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 17:30 and Sunday 11:00 to 13:00 for 50cc, 65cc and mopeds; on Saturdays 65cc machines are restricted to the children's track. Guest riders pay 20 euros per day and vehicle on the main track and 10 euros on the children's track, while members ride free outside events. Valid third-party insurance and a signed liability waiver are required. Membership costs 120 euros a year for adults and 60 euros for juniors under 18. ADAC MX Academy courses are held on the site regularly. On hard ground the grip sits only on the surface, and the front gives you little feedback in flat corners - it pushes exactly when you want to load it. Top of our cause list is too much front tyre pressure: lower it for a bigger contact patch. Treat that as a starting point for your first laps, not as a finished setup.
