The single most important piece of information about this place comes from the operator: Wolf Bayou MX on Wolf Bayou Road near Drasco is no longer open daily, and riding happens only on posted ride days. Turn up without checking the schedule and you are looking at a closed gate. Kyler Keeney's 60 acres hold a full-size amateur motocross track, a kids pit bike track, a full-size arenacross track and trails for GP hare scrambles and side-by-sides. The site hosts rounds of the Arkansas State Championship Series, and nobody gets on the property without a signed waiver. The terrain is described as natural, with plenty of elevation change, tight corners and a series of jumps. Use it like this: on a ride day the arenacross track is a better first half hour than the big course. Short laps, many repetitions - and within a few minutes you know how much grip the ground really has today, instead of finding out at speed on the main track. On loamy clay with standing ruts the standard problem is the front knifing in. Top of our cause list is a fork that is too soft: it dives through and folds into the rut - add compression.
