Warmingham Lane sits near Middlewich in south Cheshire and is reached from junctions 17 and 18 of the M6, with Sandbach railway station nearby. The venue describes itself as a family-owned motocross circuit, created in the 1970s and used regularly for amateur and professional race meetings ever since. A recurring visitor is the AMCA British Motocross Championship: round three of the 2020 series ran here, and 2021 brought a double header with racing on Saturday and Sunday whose five races all counted towards the Superclass standings, with MX1 and MX2 scored separately. For spectators the preview to that weekend quoted 7 pounds day admission for adults and 2 pounds for OAPs, with under-14s free; a weekend ticket cost 10 and 3 pounds respectively, and camping from 3pm Friday was 5 pounds a night. Practice times and rider fees are not publicly documented. Our record has the ground as loam with a fast layout and plenty of jumps. That combination punishes rebound that is too quick: if the rear snaps back at the face of a jump it launches you long, and you land nose-down instead of flat. If the bike kicks or bucks off the faces, top of our cause list is to slow the rebound down and take a few clicks back out.
