The Circuit des Tonnes belongs to Moto Club de Brou in Eure-et-Loir. The club runs two tracks, a main course and a training course, and publishes riding times split by engine class: 65cc and 85cc machines ride on Saturdays from 9.30am to noon and from 2pm to 6pm on the main course, plus Saturdays 2pm to 6pm and Sundays 10am to noon and 2pm to 5.30pm on the training course. From 125cc upwards and for sidecars, Saturday afternoon and the same Sunday windows apply. Saturday morning for the small classes costs 15 euros, an afternoon 20 euros, a full Sunday 30 euros and a Sunday afternoon 20 euros. The club admits FFM licence holders only; there are no day licences. An environmental mat is mandatory, the noise limit is 115dB, and on site there are hot showers for riders, a high-pressure wash box, electricity and water. Our own record lists a track length of 2320 metres. Our record lists the ground as loam: it hooks up well but gives way under power. On corner exit the rear then squats, the front goes light and the bike runs wider than you aimed for. Top of our cause list for that is rear low-speed compression that is too soft. Add a little so the rear stays up under load. And because the windows are split by engine class, check which one applies to yours before you drive out.
