Sleepy Hollow is run by promoter Jere Swarr; the site sits on Route 22 near Fredericksburg in Lebanon County, right off exit 6, and covers about 100 acres with two courses - one for bikes, one for quads and youth riders. The main track is groomed and watered for practice and race events. Admission is 10 dollars per person, 5 for children aged 6 to 12 and free below that; the rider fee is 30 dollars. Camping costs nothing extra, open fires are not allowed. Riding only happens on selected practice and race days, so a phone call is part of the journey here. When a track only runs on single days, it is busy on those days. Break your riding into short blocks and use the gaps to watch rather than to queue - on a crowded track you learn more in four focused laps than in twelve spent in traffic. The problem loamy ground with deep ruts brings: the front knifes and oversteers. Top of our cause list is a fork set too soft - add compression so the front stops folding in.
