Motocross in Siroke goes back to the 1950s, when the first locals took their machines off the road and into the terrain; the best-known rider of that era was Ladislav Katrinak, a multiple Slovak champion and father of national rider Jaroslav Katrinak. The Slovak track directory lists Siroke as a circuit with a respectable racing history that is maintained regularly. Practice costs 5 euros. Nobody rides on Sundays - that is a rule, not a habit, so do not build your weekend around one. What you ride is loamy ground with a technical layout. Groomed loam cuts deep ruts over the course of a practice day, and those ruts are the job here: change your line the moment it gets uncomfortable and you take nothing home from a track like this. The trouble ruts bring for nearly everyone: the front knifes in and the bike oversteers. Top of our cause list is the fork - it dives too deep and folds away in the rut. Add compression and the front stays above the edge.
