The numbers for the track at the edge of Liskova in northern Slovakia come from the Slovak motorcycle federation: 1680 metres total length, 70 metres of elevation change, plus climbs, descents and ten jumps. The ground is natural loamy soil. The venue is looked after by Offroad Motoklub Choc; training runs daily from 14:00 to 18:30, and Mondays are explicitly off limits. Non-members pay per bike, and the house rules are unusually specific: training without announcing it carries a 15 euro penalty, and a repeat offence brings a one-year training ban. Riding is confined to the track and not the surrounding meadows; bikes must arrive on a trailer or in a vehicle, and waste belongs in the designated containers. Learn the notification rule before you learn the layout. On a track with rules this explicit, the most expensive mistake is not a riding one. Seventy metres of elevation across 1680 metres means the course works with gravity rather than with engine power. What catches nearly everyone on those ten jump faces: the bike kicks and bucks. First on our cause list is rear rebound - it returns too fast; slow it down.
