Silkeborg Motor Sport rides at Ellingbanen, Ellingvej 16 B in Silkeborg. The club lists training on Tuesdays from 17.00 to 20.00 and Saturdays from 10.00 to 14.00; the local portal Silkeborg Vest carries the same address and the same times. Non-members pay, per the club, 125 kroner per session and need a valid DMU licence for it. An environmental mat is mandatory - the club states that without qualification. The venue is described as a permanent track with many turns, jumps and hills, and since 2026 quads are permitted on Ellingbanen again. The club runs its own club championship rounds. Track length is not publicly documented. Our records hold sand as the surface, at roughly 86 metres altitude. Where the sand gets deep the rear stops tracking cleanly and starts to pogo and swim. Top of our cause list for that is rebound that is too fast for sand - slow the rear down so it stops building up a rhythm of its own.
