The track at Ponte alla Chiassa northeast of Arezzo is not in operation. The regional news site Arezzo24 writes that it was built with authorisation in 1992, was seized in 2020 - which also ended all maintenance - and that the seizure was lifted about a year and a half before March 2025. The city then put the site out to tender, with councillor Scapecchi making strict compliance with noise regulations a condition for any bidder, and a circuit for electric motorcycles or cyclocross was among the options discussed. On 18 July 2025 the municipality rejected the proposals it had received: a technical commission found numerous shortcomings in both offers, and residents had collected over 500 signatures citing noise, dust, flood risk and the proximity of housing. Our own record holds a track length of 1500 metres; the sources give no figure. There is nothing dependable to say about how it rides - after several years without maintenance the old layout is no guide, and neither is the ground. Take Ponte alla Chiassa out of your planning and follow the decisions of the city of Arezzo instead before you schedule a trip.
