The Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit sits in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone in the south of Lombok and is run by the Mandalika Grand Prix Association, a subsidiary of the state-owned Indonesian Tourism Development Corporation. RacingCircuits.info credits the design to MRK1 Consulting and RoadGrip Motorsport; ground was broken in October 2019 and the circuit opened on 12 November 2021. It runs to roughly 4.3 kilometres with 17 corners and is listed there with FIM Grade A and FIA Grade 2. Its first international event was the 2021 World Superbike round, with MotoGP added from 2022. After the asphalt failed during the 2022 MotoGP season the track was milled circuit-wide under Dromo, the drainage was reworked and a new surface known as Rinjani was laid. The operator sells its own two-wheel and four-wheel track days and takes bookings through the contact channels on its site; no prices are published there. That gives you a tarmac lap of fast direction changes and late, hard braking points. The surface is new, but the transitions between the high-speed sections ask for a chassis that stays calm on its side. Top of our cause list here is the sag and ride-height balance: get it wrong and the bike goes vague and wanders through the fast sweepers. So set sag properly before you start counting damping clicks.
