The track near Kostelec nad Cernymi lesy is run by the amateur sports club MX Josef Splavec. According to the club, practice runs on Wednesdays from 13:00 to 18:00 and Saturdays from 9:00 to 18:00, explicitly only in favourable weather; it also states that riding is at your own risk and follows the site's operating rules. The lap is 1,700 metres long, covers 30 metres of elevation change and has a start gate for 40 machines. The club names clay, or loam, as the surface. No fee is stated on the page. Clay ground holds a line and cuts deep ruts that guide the front wheel instead of letting it run free; combined with the elevation change you enter those ruts downhill with a lot of load on the front. That is exactly where the front knifes in and oversteers. If that is what dominates your riding there, our most common cause is a fork riding too deep in its stroke and folding into the rut: add compression so it stays higher up and tracks over the rut edge instead of pulling into it.
